ADOPT-A-FAMILY
Thank You!
We would like to extend a big
"Thank You" to all who contributed to our
Adopt-A-Family program this Christmas! This year's
program was especially ambitious, and as in years
past, people were extremely generous in supporting
our church family, our community and God's world.
This year we adopted 3
families, an older couple and 2 single adults. We
also supported people in our community through
donations to our Samaritan Fund, which is used to
help people in need. In addition, we supported our
brothers and sisters in Africa through donations
to the ELCA Malaria Fund, which reaches out to
people in various countries in Africa through the
local Lutheran churches, to help wipe out malaria
through education, medicines, and specially
treated mosquito nets. Anyone who wishes may still
make donations to the ELCA Malaria Fund or the
Hope Samaritan Fund.
Our adopted families have
expressed surprise, joy, and heartfelt thanks for
all your generous gifts! Know that you have
allowed yourselves to be instruments of God's love
and care, flowing through you, His beloved
children, to fellow children of
our Heavenly Father.
