Soldier Box Holiday CollectionThanks to the Hope family for another successful mission! In addition to Hope, I want to thank Jason Reed, Debbie Crawford and the participants of Among the Wolves for collecting and packing 32 boxes of goodies and to Tara Zigler for organizing it; the Zilinski Foundation for shipping supplies and postage; and finally, Thrivent North Shore Chapter for supporting us with $436.00, which was used for additional postage!
Special thank you to Ed Hudak & Pastor Pat for delivering all 32 boxes to my home; Janice Seifert and Joan Drager for helping to sort and pack donations; Tony Ng for collecting magazines, cards, and wrapping paper; Bob and Nancy Hritz, John and Joan Drager, and Erica, Rosie and Emily Driscoll for brining all the boxes to the post office; and the Sandin family, along with the Colts Neck Girls Lacrosse team, for organizing, collecting and delivering the goodies to me for shipping. A total of 65 boxes each weighing between 13 and 20 pounds were delivered in time for the holiday season! I have heard from representatives from all 3 Battalions we sent to in Afghanistan. Along with thanks, all commented that they have enough hygiene supplies to last them for 6 months and that the goodies and surprise gifts were a special treat while being so far from home!
