Our Spring collection for the troops has been completed and the boxes were mailed on Saturday, March 13th (yes, in the middle of that horrible storm; let me tell you it was quite an adventure). In addition to the platoons we adopted at Christmas, (one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan), we also sent boodle to Conrad Whiteside's grandson, Alex, who is also currently deployed. 

As always, thank you very much for your donations and support. In addition to Hope's donations, I received $200 from Thrivent to offset shipping costs and for the first time, St. Peter's Episcopal Church joined us in this important mission. Their participation made a huge difference as their generosity was overwhelming. 

For our next mailing, I am making changes to the program; this year Hope will have several family members deployed over the holiday season so all our donations will be sent to their platoons.
